Trailertri 720 In Australia

February, 2006

Nick and Katherine Rutter have just relaunched their Trailertri 720 BLUE MOON, after some extensive renovations.

Nick writes:

We have just had the delight of re-launching our TT720 and boy does it look a picture - I think!! We live on Raymond Island, near Paynesville in Victoria, Australia. We purchased a yellow and beginning to look a bit worn TT720 called 'Seahawke' and after sailing it for 12 months decided a refit was needed,

We contracted Freycheville-Heaney Boats in Paynesville to do the job, who specialize in wooden boat construction and renovation. They painted and I fitted out. This is now complete, and we have a new boat and after the naming ceremony, a new name as well.

In our first season of sailing we won the Metung return race and came second in the Loch Sport return race. In the Metung race I had finger tip control at 16 knots under spinnaker. I couldn't have asked for anything better. If you know of any other people who own TT720's and would be interested in forming some type of association or even an interest group, with contact by email, I would welcome the contacts.

A popular way of doing the wing net support rail on the original Trailertri series, and still a very good method. The quality of workmanship is very obvious.

Now complete and looking a picture.
